Nearly every US university requires international applicants to demonstrate English proficiency, and selective schools typically expect a TOEFL iBT score of 100 or above. The test rewards academic English — lecture-style listening, campus-conversation speaking, integrated writing — more than everyday fluency.
The TOEFL Intensive is a focused, one-to-one course for students who already read and speak English well and need to convert that ability into a strong score, on schedule, before applications open.

Most students should sit the TOEFL once, in the spring or summer before their final year, so that the score is settled before the Full-Cycle Program begins on August 1. Some universities waive the requirement for strong SAT Reading & Writing scores — the consultation will confirm whether your student needs it at all.
